Pub Lunch Club

Our pub lunch club is at 12.30 every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Red Lion, Hinxton.

If you'd like to attend please let cjjonsmith@hotmail.co.uk (07814 116 590) know what your pre-order is by the Sunday before.

At the lunch we enjoy a pub lunch, a drink and each other's company. Most people just have one course. It's simple, totally informal, no strings and we each pay for our own order, plus a tip if you want to. And why not invite a friend or neighbour along as well?

If you can sign up to the pub lunch mailing list here it will make it easier for Jon to send you reminder emails. Plus it reduces the risk of Jon's emails going straight into your spam email folder.

On the day if you could tap Jon on the back/introduce yourself when you turn up that will be nice, plus it will help Jon tick you off the attendees list.

Background to the lunch - In August 2021 we started the pub lunch club at the Ickleton Lion. When that closed in 2023 we took a summer break and then restarted at the Red Lion, Hinxton in October 2023. The lunches are always on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12.30 at the Red Lion, Hinxton.

I'm Jon, (husband of Lydia our vicar), and I'm helping by organising the lunches.

Here's what to expect if you're coming to Church on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at one of our three Churches (details here) for our main Sunday Service, which starts at 10am.

We usually serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Duxford and Ickleton Churches have a toilet.

Children are more than welcome to all of our 10am services, however the services on the first and second Sunday of the month in Ickleton are more children orientated.

We do have some small fellowship with bible study and prayer groups, please do ask for more information.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
